The Bittersweet Paradox

Second Post This Week!!

I had to fill everyone in on a couple things.

1. I listened to an all Christmas songs radio station this morning on the way to work. I'm serious. It seems early, but it excited me. AND, the worker people were putting Christmas lights up in the trees on campus at work today. Also very exciting.

2. I broke into my own car!!! Yes, that's right, my friends...call me MacGyver. I took a wire hanger, cut it and pushed it through the seal on my door and used it to push the little lock on my car door up and I was in. Now, I have the peace of mind knowing that I'll never have to call a lock smith. Seriously, I'm amazing.

I'm so bad at this posting business.

Seriously, people. I'm gonna get better. Promise.

I don't know that this post will be very thought provoking, mostly an update on my life for those of you who may still occasionally check on my blog. Last weekend was our big fall retreat, Breakaway. It was pretty stinkin' awesome as retreats go; seemed to me, anyways. I had a good time despite being kinda sick. I'm getting better, though. We have to do it again next week too (the retreat, that is). Hopefully, though, next weekend will be more relaxed, though, since we don't have anything to finish. They put me in charge of this party thing on Saturday night, and it went pretty well. I think the kids had a lot of fun.

Since getting home, I've been staying in and sleeping a lot. Trying to get better. Thankfully, it seems to be working. I have, however, missed my Chicago trips. I haven't had one in a couple weeks, and I'm itching to do some more exploring. Last time I was there, I saw Chinatown from a distance. That will most definitely be one of my stops during my next trip. I heart Chicago.

I also booked my Thanksgiving plane ticket, so hopefully I'll be doing lots of hanging out with my OKC friends for a week or so. I'm looking forward to that. And Bueno. I'm looking forward to Bueno. And Poblano Grill. And Sonic. I must be hungry...

My life in Christ in this world, a bittersweet paradox. But ultimately, it will only be sweet. Here's where I'll tell you something about it.
