After a little over 3 weeks in Chicago, I'll finally be officially starting tomorrow. Not gonna lie, I'm a little scared. All those freaky what-ifs going through your head...
So, I've just told myself that I'm going to take it one day at a time. Take each challenge as it presents itself, and try not to get bogged down by things I can't control. Right...like that's gonna happen.
I am looking forward to having something to occupy my time, though. I've had over a week now of really having nothing to do. They wanted us to be there early for the Art's conference, and then didn't really have anything for us to do last week at all. The rest has been nice, but the extra time to think isn't always good. I'm looking forward to (and also scared of) getting to do it finally.
Help me, Lord.
Hello all!
I just conducted an experiment using my new pink razr phone and trying to email pictures from my phone to myself, and Praise the Lord, it worked! So, that means this update post will be enhanced immeasurably by a few visual aids. They're a little fuzzy, but, I suppose you can't ask much more from a camera phone.
My new digs:

The windows above the red car are the windows to my bedroom. My roommate is super nice. Yeah. It's nice to be in my own place again.
I also took a couple fun pics while sight-seeing in downtown with my mom and brother.

Enough for you to whet your appetite until you all come to visit me:)
It's been a crazy couple weeks. Last week was the Willow Creek Arts' Conference which was amazing. They have an Art's culture at Willow Creek that is unlike any place I have ever seen. It's pretty incredible. Enjoyed every minute of it.
This week, I only have orientation on Thursday with the rest of the week free. I'm hoping you'll find me exploring downtown Chicago a little more. There's soooo much to see!
It's also kinda nice to have some down time so I can kind of prepare myself for what I know will be a ridiculous year...full of challenges and hard work, all of it rewarding, I hope. Like the calm before the storm. So, I've decided to enjoy it rather than stress about what I could/should be doing in these few days before I dive in.
I unpacked my room a couple days ago, and it was very gratifying to get all the stuff out which has been sitting in a storage shed for two years now. I've missed it! I had some stuff I had forgotten that I owned. Maybe that just means that I don't actually need it.
Anyway, I hope to be updating more regularly now. I miss you all!
I have made it to Chi-town!!!
Not enough time to post right now, but I'll do my best to make a good long update in the next day or so. Sorry for the lack of postage, but it's been crazy busy what with moving and all.
I know all three of regular readers are waiting on the edge of their seats.
